GC-2010所有的检测器都重新设计，达到小型化、高灵敏度要求，均可满足快速分析的要求。其中，FPD(火焰光度检测器)采用全新镜面全光反射系统和聚光透镜，达到超高灵敏度。
新一代的AFC使GC-2010在标准配置下即可满足快速分析所需要的高柱头压(970kPa)、高载气流速(1200mL/min)等苛刻要求，使主机不需添加任何附件即可使用0.1mm,甚至0.05mm窄口径的快速分析柱。
工作站GCsolution的检测器数据采集速率高达250Hz(4msec),保证快速分析时数据的准确性和完整性。
柱温箱可达到最快的升温速率250℃/min,加快分析物流出，满足了快速分析所需要的升温要求，并方便用户对色谱柱进行老化。
主机的大液晶显示屏LCD及强大的帮助功能使操作更为简便直观。包括进样口、柱温箱、检测器的所有参数，升温程序以及实时得到的色谱图都一目了然地展现在使用者面前。
主机丰富的自诊断功能可定期针对电路、气路及各类消耗品进行自检，并生成自检报告以便工程师进行维护，从而保证仪器的故障率最低。
载气控制采用与分离性能具有相关性的载气线速度进行控制的方案--岛津专利的“载气恒线速度控制方式”,可以在最短时间内得到最优化分离条件。
为满足复杂样品分析，主机可安装3个进样口和4个检测器，从而省去了拆换检测器的麻烦。使用GCsolution可进行4种检测器同时检测。
2台AOC-20i与AOC-20s相组合，可构成双进样系统。两流路同时进样，双检测器同时检测。样品处理书增倍，效率大大提高，充分满足NY/T 761-2004的要求。
