GC-2014在载气控制方面沿用广受好评的GC-2010的电子流量控制(AFC)技术，不仅在使用毛细管柱时，在使用填充柱时载气流量的数字控制也作为标准配置，从而改善了保留时间和峰面积的重现性，实现了更高精度分析。
GC-2014继承了GC-2010在检测器方面的改进，使其在毛细管柱分析方面拥有很好的效果。而GC-2014标准配置中的双填充柱系统也大大提高了填充柱分析的灵敏度和稳定性。
柱温箱尺寸的增大使GC-2014可方便地同时安装和使用毛细管柱和填充柱，便于柱的更换操作。
主机的大液晶显示屏LCD及强大的帮助功能使操作更为简便直观。包括进样口、柱温箱、检测器的所有参数，升温程序以及实时得到的色谱图都一目了然地展现在使用者面前。
主机丰富的自诊断功能可定期针对电路、气路及各类消耗品进行自检，并生成自检报告以便工程师进行维护，从而保证仪器的故障率最低。
根据分析目的和目标成分可选择4种进样单元、5种检测器。为满足复杂样品分析，主机可安装3个进样口和4个检测器。采用单元追加方式使主机在购入后也可很方便地追加进样单元、检测器、自动进样器等各种选购件。
稳定性：在正常情况下，仪器和铜灯预热半小时后，在不点火状态下对铜谱线324.7nm测定基线稳定性。30分钟漂移量≤0.004吸光度
